DoubleR, Pumpkin question?

Just wondering what pumpkins you have the best luck with? I plant Howden, but have trouble with bad stems. I also tried Gladiator and another brand that were supposed to be powdery mildew resistant.
How do you deal with the mildew? I sprayed mine with Neam oil with little success. Next year I am going to try a restricted fungicide/biocide.

I also sell ear corn and shelled corn, and corn stalks.

Thanks,

Our favorites are the howdens, magician, sorcerer, Field trip, cotton candy. We do about 15 different varieties all together on about 4 aces. We order from Harris seeds. Some do better than others in the different weather conditions we deal with yearly.
We have not had to deal with mildew problem. I spray sevin on them for bugs before they vine out. I plant pumpkins on pumpkins on the same ground. Its my sandy ground and they seem to do the best on that. I use Cubit, Duall, Teflon, right after I plant for weed control. If that doesn't work I use roundup around the plants and a hoe.

Thanks DoubleR. I too buy my seeds from Harris.
The only thing I do for weeds is cultivate and spray Roundup with a hand sprayer.
