Just saw a few tractors at a big merchant/business exhibit and grabbed some reading stuff for the train ride home..... one was comparing tractors in different HP ranges..... Belarus had 40 some HP for 11k bucks and 82 HP for 16k
1/4 to 1/2 the price of others... Not in the market, but the differences were unbelievable.... Didn't really look at them cause I didn't want to sit thru a sales pitch, but they didn't look all that bad....

Old man I knew gave me 250AS belarus. He could'nt get it to run.Was about 15 years old, had 284 hours on it. I got in running and took it straight to auction. Had a junky 5 ft mower with it. Got $1500.00 for the pair. Was glad to get it. Don't want another

My only experience is the one broken in half in the junk yard in town. Broke at the bell housing.

Sit on it and try the controls before you think too hard about one. All I ever sat on over here were awkward and uncomfortable. They seem to be ruggedly built, in accordance with the
Russian theory of designing things so illiterate peasants can maintain them, like AK 47 rifles.

Here in south Alabama the Belarus tractors are sitting idle everwhere you go, I've never seen one running. Still see them for sale on craigslist all along but as I've said most all of them ae sitting in the weeds.

Bought a 820m in 1992 80 hp put a westendorf loader on it. Used it for many years packing bunker silo and around the yard use. Think I paid around 13500,00 for the tractor we had the loader. Very efficient on fuel, very fast on the road. The only thing I have done to it is have starter cleaned a few times and a seal in fwd. I was in the same boat back then 38000.00 for caseI-H or 42000.00 for a deere. I still have it today figured the interest pd on case or deere paid for this one.

Dealer in Franklin Co. had several 20 years ago each one had a different style front axel. some of the hubs looked like 1930 pontiac, some 5 bolt some 6 bolt. Claimed he could get parts in less than a week. 1/2 price of IH or Deere. Big farmer bought his big 4wd articulating and was using it to rip corn stubble next to Hiway when it broke down. Sat there over a year with weeds growing around it till the dealer had it towed out. not the best advertising I guess.
