JD threshing machine

I am repairing a 24 x 42 JD threshing machine and see that there is only one row of teeth under the cylinder ( concave ) on this machine. Some other units have more. Is one row enough to thresh oats, wheat or winter wheat?

Interesting..I"ve never seen a JD threshing
machine. Didn"t even know that they made one.
Everyone that I knew around here,(Western Wisconsin) had Case..though I"d heard that a
"Red river special" was the best, and most
expensive.

yes they made them and have seen j. d. machines. there was mccormick, case, advance rumley, keck gonnerman,belle city,also and must have missed some too.
but as far as concaves i dont think that is sufficient to thesh wht. with only one row.
