Super A no serial number?

I have a super A that doesn"t have a serial number. Is there any other of the numbers I can use on the engine block or transmission housing? Or any other Idea"s?

If the block hasn't been changed the number should be the same as the tractor.

The Super A engine and tractor serial numbers DO NOT match. The earlier Farmall A and B did but not after the Super A came out. The Engine number should be similar. The engine number is ona flat just below the front spark plug.
My 1948 Super A has tractor serial number FAA 253980 and the engine serial number is FAAM 255266 K
