How quickly the Tune changes

Spent all summer beggin' for rain...now I'd like to string 4-5 dry days together so I can get the last of the hay (however meager) cut/baled!
Grateful for what's in the barn, though. Lots out there hurting worse.

Just finished plantin' 400 acres of wheat 30 minutes ago.

Without a rain, not a kernel of it will sprout. :>(

Rain what is that. We have gotten just enough to green things up some but not enough to grow any real hay yet. I do not hold out much hope that I can get some much as a little bit of another cutting this year

Had about 8 inches of rain in the past two weeks. Wish I could sent half of it to some of you guys that need it. Dry all summer, hay is about 60%, crops are about 75%, but now we need some dry weather to get to last of things off.

Hope and change. Hope and the weather will change. But maybe not for the better.

I am already wondering what kinda drought we will have next year, or maybe it will skip a year like in 1934 and 36.

We're still hopin' for rain here in western Washington- 3 tenths since the 4th of July, 3 hundreths in all of September. Getting pretty dusty. Second cutting went out the window in mid- July.
