Hi,
I am new to owning a tractor and have recently acquired a Ford 4000, 12V, diesel, 3 cylinder model unfortunatley the battery is not charging, a voltmeter shows 12.5V and does not change when the engine is running. Most of the wiring has been removed; no lights, ignition light etc. There is a wiring cable going to the alternator/geerator with 3 wires but only 2 are connected, the 3rd is loose. I would apprecaite any help or advice on where to connect this spare wire and if this would allow the battery to charge. Thanks Pete
