I converted a 12 volt spot sprayer to work on a CAT 0 3 point mount for an old garden tractor I had. When I upgraded to a slightly larger tractor (Ford 8N) I made a new CAT 1 Mount. Works like a charm. I had to replace the original tank this year so went with a bigger tank. Still kind small but lets me get into places I can't with a larger sprayer.

This unit would work on any small tractor.

I stayed with a smaller tank because of the terrain here. Have to fill more often but that's better than being pinned under a tractor.

Before the 12 volt conversion I had a battery box mounted and a deep cycle battery to power it. Now I have a control switch on the tractor dash and a round 4 pin trailer connector on it.

Rick,
Looks like you did an excellent job. I wouldn't mind have a set up like that also for my farm.

Many years ago, I made a sprayer to mount on the 3-point hitch of the 8N. I found a section of an old delivery gas tank off of a fuel truck that I used for the tank. Mounted a PTO pump on the 8N and the sprayer on the back. It all worked out until we needed a boom sprayer that we mounted in an old cornbinder pickup.

It looks a whole lot like the sprayer I built 4 yrs ago. I removed the shanks from an old fergeson 3 pt rear cultivator, mounted a 55 gal plastic barrel, on the frame, and used a pto pump, and made simular booms to hold the spray nozzels. I have 2 extra barrels to interchange, for different chemicals. It helps me clean the system when changing products.
