Truck question

Hi guys,
I have had a 1966 Ford F-700 grain truck in the shed for a while and want to use this fall for hauling corn. I have checked all the fluids and transmission fluid is my question. There are 2 plugs on the passenger side of the transmission. Is the top one about half way up the transmission the filler and level plug. Do I fill it up to that plug? Also what fluid goes in the transmission. 90 wt gear lube? Thanks for all your help.

Yep the one half way up and i am assuming that it is either a 4 speed or a 5 speed and 90 weight is what should be in there . Now being that it is a 66 model maybe it might just need changing as it has probably never been changed along with the rear end .

When you change the oil. If it smells like bacon. Might as well rebuild it.
When I was a kid. Some farmers would stuff a noisy transmission with Bacon or lard. Made it real quite just long enough to sell the truck or car.
