a view of the garden patch taken from the tractor seat yesterday in pa,
we got some well needed rain last week, the tomatoes are starting to ripen,lots of yellow and green squssh
the last empty spot I hope to sow in turnips aug 6th the pa dutch neighbors grandma really likes turnips in the fall
a lot of the plants at the top are pumpkins

Looks good. Don't see much of that in drought strickened Indiana this year. How is your sweetcorn? We had temptation last night. It came from a field just west of Indy that has seen only 1/10th. inch of rain since July 1st. Ears were small, poorly pollinated with not much flavor.

Looks like your going to have another great garden again this year, must have green thumb and obviously enough rain to make it grow, cant keep deer out of mine - putting up electric fence next year.

You always have great gardens how do you keep the Deer from eating everything up?Around here there'd be 20 deer in there tearing it to pieces.

they are starting to get bad there too,used to be everyone around there hunted,opening day school was closed and everyone hunted ..now with some new houses around ,the deer can hide,just like in nj,where the deer are overunning the whole place, One neighbor hunts our little woods,He made the mistake of telling me he was waiting for a big buck last year and let some smaller deer go by,I will start hunting myself soon,the smaller deer are more tender anyway

Deer are a real problem here in western New York as well.

To keep deer at bay, we use fencing and a fear based deer repellent called Shake-Away.

Shake-Away is the only natural product that contains granulated genuine coyote urine as it"s active ingredient. Simple sprinkle the stuff on the ground around the area you want to protect.
