does anyone know if wild grape leaves can be used for pickles or can you only use tame grape leaves?Oh I plowed my garden with my H farmal.I was wanting to try it and dont have any tame grapes but lots of wild grapes.

According to google the wild grape leaves are edible - so you should be able to use them in your pickles. And we have eaten the wild grapes before.

My mom made grape leaf dills and they were crunchier than her former recipe... but not nearly as crunchy as the pickles one buys at the store. Not sure why that is.

Store bought pickles have road salt, calcium cloride in them. Same stuff that ruins tractor rims if the tires leak. I don't know if that is what makes them crisp.
