Farm Science Review Golf Carts

Looks like they changed the policy for golf cart use. Hope this solves the problem. After last year, I didn't care if I ever went back.

I praise the organizers for addressing the problem.

New Policy

Tim,

I agree with you..

Our farm is just down the road.. Its nice to get out and see the new products and services without someone running into you with a cart..

I can drive a Tractor, or Truck, all day long, but
can't walk very good, and have a medical resriction not to stand fo more than 15 minutes.
I can't go to a show without a cart.

Whats new??NOTHING,there will be just as many or more carts this year then last.If someone wants to cart rather then walk, then they will get a permit(period).Every year is worse and each year(all shows)say their new rules will (are going to) fix the problem.

There was a guy here in town telling that he was going to an automotive swap meet in Wisconsin this year with two other guys. He has COPD and can't walk for long. He said he had to get a special permit from them to use a cart and nobody was allowed to ride with him. Maybe that's a policy that some shows need to adopt. I know they aren't allowed in the flea market area at the MMOGTA show anymore. Out in the open field where the tractors are and there's more room,I don't care, but in close quarters,I get a little pizzed.

Randy,
Two or three years ago at MMOGTA one of the guys from Aldermans was trying to do a U-turn in the swap meet area on a cub cadet UTV, wasn"t even close to making the turn, gassed it anyway and smashed into Owosso tractor parts display. Tipped over 3 or 4 tractor rims.

Funny in a way since it proved who was lacking in the brains department. Lucky no little kid got hit by a tractor rim.

Hey Greygoat,

I wasn't saying they should do away with all golf carts. I don't mind seeing people in them that need them. What chaps my tail is every other one has about 6 twenty year olds in it, not paying attention to people walking.

If it's as bad this year as it was last year, they'll have to do without my entrance fee in the future. It's hard enough to get around there with all the people, let alone a steady stream of carts.
