My grandfather past this last December and my father is going through some things and found his pedal tractor from when Grandpa bought his new 720 diesel. I can't believe it but Dad wants to sell it. I have looked all over the web and I can't find one like it so I don't know what we should ask for it. We've heard everything from 3-6000$. Any one who knows what these little pedal tractors are worth please let me know. I was thinking of running an ad in Green Magazine or Heritage Iron Magazine. Thanks guys.

in dick's farm toy price list for 2012 it lists your 20 series pedal tractor at $475 for good condition and $800 for excellent. tell your dad you want it and he will probably give it to you.
Since you seem surprised your Dad wants to sell it, why don"t you offer to buy it? You never know, he may just give it to you. Do some more research, and get an idea of what it would be worth in the condition it"s in. You don"t have to compare the exact same thing to get a ballpark figure. Then show Dad what you found and tell him you would be interested in keeping it in the family. The link below will help you get started if your interested.

I agree - I would not sell it... at least not without waiting a year to be certain that is what he really wants to do, because once it is gone it can never be regotten.
Don't know your age or marital status... but is there any chance you (or possibly siblings) will have children who might ride that little pedal tractor someday? I'd think he'd want to keep it for any future grandbabies.
