Queston For CB in central NY

CB, about a year ago you asked a question about using a solar pump to pump water uphill from a spring you have to water livestock. I was really curious as to what you got done and how it worked. If you read this, please respond. Thanks.

Hi, Randall, you could say this is still "work in progress". Solar pumps are expensive and in my case the setup required is fairly complex. What I did was primitive but it works for me. I have a water tank that I fill downstream from the spring and then drive it up to fill two stock tanks in the field. I can sort of get away with that because it's primarily a hay field and only sees cattle late in the summer / early in the fall for them to take a "third" cut. But if the ground gets too mucky, it could be an issue.

Maybe down the road when I make millions farming, I can drill a well and put in that solar pump...
