We Robbed the Bees Pics

This is my third year playing with bees. We extracted 6 frames today, first use of our extractor. Delicious.

Looks like fun!! Getting bee's is on my bucket list, one of these years, I just love honey and put it on every thing. Honey and chopped walnuts on my oatmeal, on pancakes, on toast, ice cream, you get the picture, something that's actually healthy for you.

I have always wondered.
How much honey can you get from how many bees/hives?
How much work do you have to put into maintenance and upkeep, per week in terms of hours.

A hot knife with the blade bent a little might make it easier to
"scratch the caps off". However great job, that honey looks great,
looks like the young ones enjoyed it,too.

Absolutely WONDERFUL pictures!!!
That just makes me smile from ear to ear seeing you interact with the kids in your new project. Your efforts will absolutely pay you back 10 fold in the future, your a good man.
Oh, and no doubt the honey is delicious!

Very nice. I run John and Wayne Honey farm here in Kansas and looks to be a great year so far. Glad to see your family enjoying the fruits of the bees labor (and yours). I love bees and every thing about them.

Brings back memories helping my grandfather with his bees. Robbing the honey in the winter, putting it in jars, with the comb. Great pics!
