I bought a bag of fittings a couple of weeks ago and put them some place where I wouldnt lose them......Well I lost them!!!!

I took two three eights chains and one five sixteenths chain out of the back of the pickup three weeks ago and laid them by the support post in the open face shed so I could find them when I needed them. Needed them at least four times since then. Still haven't figured out where they went to. I am the only one that uses them.

Grandpa was an expert at that. He couldn't find what he purposely set somewhere to find, so we would head into Losantville to buy more. No more get back to the farm and there it was.

You might consider taking a vitamin supplement to improve your memory.

Nancy got some for me a couple of years ago and I've been taking them every day.

Don't recall the name of the vitamin right off hand, but they work really good.

Hope you find the box of nails that you've misplaced.

I have did the same thing so your not alone. You don't have to be old to do this I'am 65 and brother in law is 20 years younger and he forgets more than I do. The worst thing is when you do find them they were right under your nose.

When i quit looking thats when i find them. Go do another
project, then they magically show up where you almost trip
over them. Works for me.

the biggest problem was that I cleaned up the shop the other day when it was raining. I dont know why I did that, I had all my stuff neatly hung up on the floor...lol

Stan look in that box on top the Shopsmith. I bet I looked for 2 months everywhere in that garage but there. It was an air filter for a Toro lawnmower.

You didn't lose them..........you used them hooking up that power steering pump on your saw mill so you could do figure 8s without getting your arms tired........Remember?

I am the worlds worste for this action.
I do think having so much on your mind has a lot to do with it, when you are working and trying to raise a family. I am not sure what causes the problem later in life except having worn your brain out years before trying to remember the things you cant find.
I forgot what we are talking about so I hope this doesn't sound crazy if it is on the wrong post.

I couldn"t find my tow chain for yanking some trees.. Drove my pickup all over the property looking for it. Still no luck. 2 days later, I washed the cars and the chain was in the bed of the pickup

Recently, I was diagnosed with A. A. A. D. D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests:

I decide to wash my car.

As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the hall table.

I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.

I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the trash can under the table, and notice that the trash can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the trash first.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the trash anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my checkbook off the table, and see that there is only one check left.

My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go to my desk where I find the can of Coke that I had been drinking.

I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the Coke aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over.

I see that the Coke is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the coke a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye--they need to be watered.

I set the Coke down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.

I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.

I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table.

I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.

I splash some water on the flowers, but most of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.

Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day: the car isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter, the flowers aren't watered, there is still only one check in my checkbook, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!

Reminds me, my wife was at the grocery and was sure she bought 3 things she couldn't find when she unpacked the stuff at home. Two days later she went back to that grocery with her sales slip in hand. Looking at the slip the management could tell which register she'd been to, who the checkout person was--and--- get this, they have videos of all the transactions. They cued up the video to the time she was there. At this particular grocery they don't put things in bags as they ring them up, usually a bagger does it. But at the time there was none, wife packed some things in bags then stopped to pay without finishing. The video showed exactly the 3 things she left behind. They made it right with her, but they didn't show her who got the things she left. Don't you wish sometimes you had a camera to see what happened to things at home!

Well I guess I dont have it to bad..lol PS I did find my fittings, it was right where I left them. I started to do another project and had to find the parts for that, low and behold there were my fittings..lol wish I was a drinker cause then I could go and get drunk..lol

Next time you tell someone about something like this and he says, bet you found it in the last place you looked, just smile and say, nope looked in two places after that. It"s worth it just to see the looks on their faces. I"ve had a couple people just look at me and walk away without saying a word.

Neighbours wife ,who is 48, went to the shop for groceries. Later
that evening she can't find her purse, so she goes to look in the car,
but her car is gone, so she phones the police and her husband.
After the police have left with all the details, her husband decides to
go to town.As he drives past the shop there is his wife's car. She
had drove to the shop and walked home!
Maybe you are not so bad!

Guy said the other day he and his wife were going out to eat with another old couple. He and the other old fellow was sitting in the front seat. He said to the fellow."What did you do yesterday". Fellow said "Went to a funeral""whose funeral" "I can't remember" Fellow said "what is that flower that has thorns on it" "A Rose" "yes" as he turned around toward the back seat and said "Rose whose funeral did we go to yesterday"?

I shut the chook yard gate twice last night, once at 6.30pm and once at 9pm.
I had to open it the second time to shut it again.
I'm ok, thanks for asking.
