IHC disc harrow, parts needed!

I have this old IHC disc harrow that needs a front wheel and the hitch. I have put want ads on this site a couple of times with no response.

From what I have been able to determine from looking at original literature and pictures, the front wheel is the same as the right rear. I removed the right rear wheel and have confirmed that it will indeed fit on the front spindle. I am looking into having the wheel copied and a new one cast.

In the meantime, if anyone has or knows where I can find an original wheel or hitch, please let me know, I would much appreciate it!! Or if you know of someone that has one of these disc harrows, let me know and I can talk with them about getting measurements of the hitch so that I can make a duplicate.

ANY leads, tips, or even information on this implement would be most appreciated!

My IHC book says this implement was made in several different widths from 1927 to 1931. I don't know how many were made, but this is the only one I have ever seen.

What you have pictured is a 'oneway'disk tiller. It
is a completely different tool from a (tandem)disk
harrow.

Nebraska Kirk, no need to get harpy about the name. You are calling it a disk harrow and to 99% of us farmers that would mean a tandem disk harrow. The common name for what you are needing parts for would be a one way disk PLOW or even just a DISK PLOW. This difference in description is more than likely the issue with you getting zero returns when you posted wanting a wheel.

As for what you are needing the hitch. It common with several moldboard plows. I am not sure of the models but have seen them switched. Usually the other way because DISK PLOWs are not used around here but where bought for parts. Also if you can find a casting number on your rear wheel it may have been used on a mold board plow as well. If it was the odds of you finding one is much better. There are a lot more moldboard plows left compared to Disk Plows.

I was just making a statement of fact, it was not my intention to sound "harpy"

The hitch is rather unique, I think, part of it attaches to the front wheel spindle to steer the implement. I have not seen a moldboard plow with a hitch like this. From looking at pictures, I have seen several IHC disc plows with wheels that looked similar, but you are right I should get the part number off the wheel, that would make it easier to find a match.
