any type of replacements would help out alot. the used ones ive tried turned out to be junk. HELP?

Just a question, are you using at least a 30wt oil. They don't work well on hydraulic oil from little experience I had yeas ago.

Just call a salvage yard and get a used one, those planters and pumps are everywhere in salvage yards. I think I paid $250 for a used one a few years ago and it works great. I think I got it at Worthington ag parts, they have a website just do a search.

sold my last one for $100.....they fit from 400/500 series on up. I still have a 540 pump for sale but want $250 for it. the pumps have a filter; have u checked that?

Have you checked the actual flow and pressure of the pump with gauges? I had an IH 92 that the blower motor got worn out and I could not get it to spin fast enough to build air pressure. I had to get the new one and then it worked fine. There is also a filter inside of the pump housing.

There are SO MANY of those planters in the weeds that you should be able to find used parts cheap.

It may be your pump, but make sure you don't have any air leaks also. Had one rivet break thant holds the two halves of the bin on our 800, and it would lose enough air that it would not keep the drum full on long fields and inclines. The rivet was fine on the head but the washer on the tail of the rivet failed and the halves would open enough under pressure to let a lot of air out. Odd thing was that I had close to 7 oz on the gauge but it would not keep the drum full.
