i have what appears to be a john deer plow.how do i determine what model it is and how do i measure the size of it.it is a two bottom plow catagory 1..

Picture, lot of folk here will be able to tell by seeing it.

Measure straight across, typically you measure the frame above the back bottom, straight across the frame members typically works.

The only J D 2 bottom 3 point hitch with a catagory that I ever heard of was a 412 built for the 40-420-430 tractors. Before that time they did dot have a 3 point plow. Later plows in 2 bottom should be cat 2 for higher horsepower tractors. Size just measure from same point on each beam, can be left side, center or right side as long as it is the same spot on beam.
