How far are you from Springfield mo? My son just moved to a town just outside there. If it's close, and I'm down there maybe we could meet up and have coffee. mike

Well if you look on a map you will see the hwy 54 and hwy 5 junction and that is the town I am at. Of course I do not live in town but that puts you with in 7 miles of me by road. Springfield is about 75 south west of me and Jeff City is about 75 miles north east of me. As for Coffee sorry I can not do that unless I want to go to the hospital I am allergic to it

What you enjoy coming to Missouri's biggest septic tank. Yep I hate the lake and most summer the smell if almost enough to gag a maggot. In all the years I have lived here I think I may have fished the lake once or twice and that is it

Yup, we like to pick destinations to boat to. The springs at the old mansion were great. I want to get a GPS this year, it is easy to miss a turn.

Hahan tokana (sp) is about the only place on the lake that has clean water and is safe to swim in. Most of the lake has septic field lines that go right into the lake and they have had problems the last few years with e coli in the lake so swimming has be on hold

(quoted from post at 11:55:39 03/01/12) We enjoyed that and the caves. I just like the freedom of spending a day on the water.

Maybe you can catch some of those Piranha that's been seen there.

It was the subject of one of the cable channels a few months back. I think it might have been National Geographic.

Would you believe on my place I have 3 caves and many years ago I was a member of a local caving club and have been in well over 100 Missouri caves and spent the night in more then one

Old,

I lived in Richland back in the late 70's and early 80's, worked in Lebanon, even know where Montreal is. You must be close to that area. I am actually from Central Texas, but the better half if the Show Me.

Well if you where to draw a triangle from Camdenton, Montreal and Decaterville I would be almost right in the center of it. If you remember where the Camdenton airport was then you can get with in 3 miles of me. I spent from Firday night till Sunday night in a cave called Carrol cave which is just north of Richland and about a mile off Hwy 7. The day we went in was a nice warm day but when we came out Sunday we came out to around 6 inches of snow. By the way I have lived here since July of 1980 so been here 32 years this summer
