after seeing that, I had to have a few..Some things ya just can't unsee tho.....

Saw an Oliver Super 55 painted John Deere green and yellow at a John Deere dealership- Was standing there shaking my head at it, and a salesman came out- "Nice paint job, huh?", to which I replied, "Seems to me like a waste of perfectly good paint." He said they thought it would sell quicker with JD paint scheme, I respectfully disagreed. It sat there awhile.

Also bought a Super 55 painted with the Washington State University colors, "crimson (well, its actually maroon) and gray". Beings as that's my alma mater, I thought it looked OK.

This pic and my interjection here is in no way related to your original post.

Having said that, I'm really not sure why I'm posting this other than recently understanding your displeasure with green and Texas women.

Have a nice day Dave!

Why? If they ever sell it, the paint job will alienate both John Deere and Farmall people. Farmall people won't like it for the paint job, and John Deere people won't like it for the fact that it's still a Farmall!

I've seen a Belarus painted IH red with Farmall decals on it and heard of one painted JD green and yellow. Kinda like putting lipstick on a pig.

Dad bought a brand new John Deere 112 Patio red and white tractor back in 1968, he got a real good price on it because they were not selling well. He would tell anyone who commented on the color that the only way to have a worthwhile red and white tractor was to paint a green one red and white.

You gotta wonder which is the insult though.
Cover that cheesy tractor with those historic colors or defile a great machine with the wrong paint?

Saw an old nasty POS Honda Civic in town awhile back
that was painted JD green and yellow...and it was a
pretty nasty paint job, too. Lettering on the car
said "HON DEERE"...
