hyd. pressure control valve 4010 jd

I would like some opinions on the priority valve on 4010 j.D. when hot has some noise there so was doing some repairs,thought i would give a look found some of the parts inside missing. have been useing it that way since 1983 without much of a problem.was wondering how big a safety issue this possible could be. opinions would be appreciated.

Priority valve is so the brakes and steering work over and above all els....With the 8 piston pump you have a lot of oil to work with.
Providing every thing is in good working order...Like gear pump in back...and no screens pluged...You decide i guess.
