Been soupy and nasty. Ruts everywhere. Finally froze a little but enough that your feet stay dry... Have to thaw (as apposed to unthaw  ) water tanks but was looking forward to letting the horses on pasture to run some... Supposed to get a bunch of rain the next couple days and stay just at and a little below freezing.... Don't need any broken legs so I guess they stay in......... looks like back to 40-50 degrees in 10 days tho.....

(quoted from post at 04:47:48 01/16/12) How are your horses doing?---those with the skinned-up "noses"?

Good thanks! The one with the lesser one is pretty much unnoticeable... The other is still working on it... She had a couple of setbacks because she'll put her head anywhere without even thinking about it and get snagged. Just fixed a couple places that her head would fit thru a few days ago and she's on the mend again. Gonna have an ugly bump tho....

Not that the place is raggedy, she'll just stick her head thru a gate, stockpanel, or anywhere that there may be a chance of fooling with something on the other side...

(quoted from post at 06:04:15 01/16/12) Will they have a big scar after they get healed or will it be gone after a while.

The one is a dapple that gets whiter every year and will prolly bot be noticed, the other is a cream color so will always have a white scar but will prolly have an unsightly bump across the nose at about halter band level...
