got our dog back from SPCA today. Went missing 3 days. Apparently got caught in a leg hold trap over the hill, somebody spotted her and called them.

Good for you!!! I'd be finding a trapper and givin him/her an a$$ whuppin that'd make em check traps 3 times a day.... Only takes one idiot to make a whole group look bad......

Biggest reason I have a problem with leg holds. They're non selective, and some people shouldn't be allowed to use them.

don't know your local laws, but here if you put leg traps out you are required to check at least daily--and anyone with a conscience would check more often. hopefully the authorities are looking into it. A beating is in order for the person who set the trap.
