Keith Molden ?

You mentioned in a topic a week or so back that you stayed on a horse farm in Fairbanks in the `70s, I was wondering who you were staying with? If you don`t mind me prying, I am just curious.

We lived off post at 3 Mile Farmers Loop Road. (off the Steese Highway) the guy that owned the horse farm was Earnie Gilbert. He was an electrician for ACME Electric in Fairbanks. His next door neighbor was Glen Bouten. They also had horses. Earnie rented out horses for hunting guides as well as had horses for rent by the hour. I wrangled for him when I wasn't working. We lived there at the farm until I made E-5 and was provided post housing. My oldest daughter was born while we were living there. Keith

Ok, that is kind of what I was thinking. Small world, I would shake your hand if I could. Glenn is my grandpa, his son Vern is my dad. Grandpa just sold off the ground at 3 mile last summer, he had not had horses there in quite a while, and is living in Brownsville, TX now. Ernie passed away about 10 years ago. We live and are haying off of 2.5 mile Farmers loop, down on Clyde Sherman and George Dornaths homesteads.

Sure is a small world. I sure enjoyed helping Glenn when he built his new house when Vern was a small lad. A long time ago but can remember it like it was yesterday. Hate to hear about Ernie, he was sure a good person. Keith
