Went to the Kutztown hay and produce auction saturday ,there are some real nice farms in that area ,so I took some photos

The stone house in the first picture looks really old. Bet it's a bear to heat. Great pictures, thanks for sharing, I look forward to seeing them.

Is this a great country or what!. Love the pictures larry...also, the harmonica, the piano, and anything else anyone cares to post. Being nosey, do you have a house in PA also? Or just some acreage?

Nope, upstate Ny, On an island. Place called Grand Island, in some parts of the West river, I could wade to Canadian waters. We have just one farmer left on the island. Close friend of mine. He hays, grows corn, wheat, barley.

Hey Larry, I see a few of the dutch hexsigns on the barns; to keep evil away I've heard. Do you see a lot of them these days? I think there kind of cool. Any you other guys have them in your area? Thanks for the pics, Dan

Does the hay auction run every sat? or every other? I might take a couple loads up, but I cant find much info online about it. Do you know the start time?

I always did like to travel out that way when I had my other job. Here you would be taking pictures of water in the fields + a lot of corn left

Great pictures Larry. This past spring, i hauled some Jersey bull calves for a buddy of mine. He bought them from the farm in the first picture. It took me awhile but i knew i saw that farm before!
Some have asked about the hay sale. New Holland in Lancaster county has large sales every Monday. There, you will find large loads of hay n straw. Small loads are also there. Generally, you find anywhere from 75 to 125 loads on any given Monday.
