We had to bury a farm friend of 33 years today and this song came to mind. Like they do in small towns, after the funeral the ladies of our Lions Club cooked up a good meal for family n friends. Then we sat around and shared with his adult children good memories we had over the years which they seemed to appreciate.
Okay, some may hate these songs or her singing, but if you give her a chance she sorta grows on ya even though shes a Plain Jane hillbilly soundin homely kind of thing, her songs are great. I saw her live performance and enjoyed it. Anyone who has grown up in a small town then seen them wither away will appreciate "Our Town" listen to the words.
