I know the feeling, was in one of our fields quite some time ago, bird hunting or something, many rows in, heard that combine pulling in.... made it to the hedgerow quickly !

Same thing here couple weeks ago. Police pulled a car over, the guy ran in my corn field. Three more police cars come with one bringing the German Shepherd. End of story.

Same thing happened near Fargo. Transport company from Calif. was transporting prisoners and stopped at rest area and left cage unlocked. Fugitive run into 500 acre corn field and they tried flushing him with airplanes and helecopters with no luck. The following day the farmer lined up 9 combines and started working the field with a deputy riding along.( They liked that duty) The fugitive come running out. He said he bolted because the transport people were vegetarians and only would give hime bread and peanut butter to eat! He said he thought that the law over reacted.
