O.T. alternator ?'s

I've got an 83' Jeep CJ7. I recently had starting issues & traced them all back to my emissions control box. I cut that box right out of my Jeep & got everything working right, but, my alternator is a delco remy, internally regulated model & I don't know where to run the brown output wire to? Right now, I just dissconnected it because it was overcharging my battery. thankyou

ot to know which, of several possible, Delco alternators you have & which terminal or connector the wire in question is associated with???

It's an SI. Stock to an 83' CJ. Has one wire that is the feed from the + side of the starter soleniod ...from there, there is a short jumper to post #2...from there, I have a thin brown wire that did route into the emissions control box that I did away with. I believe it's a sensing wire that I need to mount inside the cab, but, not sure where. thanks
