OT - skunks

No!, Skunks can"t climb up a tree after you.
Woodchucks/groundhogs, however CAN CLIMB. Our
dog treed one!

I read Stripped ones no, Spotted ones yes,
Now I have to pay attention i thought we always only have Stripped ones around here.

Spotted skunk that climbs trees?

This drought might make some critters do some things we don't normally see. I wouldn't put it past a skunk to try and climb to get to some moist fruit.

Depends on what they have to climb. I had skunk problems in the barn getting the cat food so I put a hole in side of barn about three feet off the ground. Made a little platform for cats to jump up to. Set up my game camera and here is a skunk on top of it. So, I set my trap again . He won't climb anymore.

Wanted to know because I have the food for the barn cats on a metal table at the barn. Coons have no problem climbing up the stalls then down the tack room wall to get to the cat food.

I didn"t know if skunks could climb well enough to do that. They"re striped skunks.

With the old man retired now a minature schnauzer running around would keep him from talking to himself and keep the area free of varmints (unless it spends evenings watching TV with him  ) A doberman or rottweiller would be a good choice also if you get one from a decent breeder but the little dogs fit better on the tractor fender....

Yes they can climb shot one on top of the picnic table eating out of a dog food bag .Then moved the dog food to the top of a rabbit cage about 3 ft. high and he got up there and I shot him in the dog food bag.
