hey folks,
I'm seriously considering trading my tractor (or getting it a buddy  )...
Neighbor kid bought one with a bad motor. They were using it and oil started blowing out the dipstick hole (??). Anyway, he got it, put all new piston, ring, and sleeve kits in, new rod/main bearings (crank checked by machine shop), gaskets/seals. Was still building up crankcase pressure and he took the head in to the shop and they found a crack. Got another head, shop is reworking it now. That is no different (parts wise) than a factory reconditioned engine is it? Trans, electric, brakes, mower, tin, and everything else on the tractor is solid with inspection and ready to insure and put plates on. Any reason NOT to take advantage of it?
