I lived here my whole life except 3 years in the army, and most of it was in Texas. My folks settle here pior to 1910. Work on several area ranches in my younger days.
I retired from NRCS about 6 years ago, don't do much anymore found out 2.5 years ago I have MS.
Danny Mcrae stills lives west of Vernon, went to school with him, he is retired also. I haven't seen him in agood while, I see his brother nearly every day, says he is doing ok.

Donald, would one of those ranches you worked on been the Pitchfork or 6666's? Or the Masterson?

I'm east of Hillsboro and can't say how much I appreciate the NRCS. They have helped on several projects around here and always willing to give advice when asked. Great bunch of folks

Thank you for the info on Danny. Will have to call him one of these days .Really like Danny .
Better yet , go see him , he s usually got some interesting things in his lot. clint
