MF fuel issue

Got a MF tractor type forklift w/ Perkins 152 engine.
3 times lately I'd run it,shut it off,and when restarting it,I had to crack a injector line to bleed air to get it to start. Recent filter,1/2 tank of fresh fuel.
Start checking where? first?

1st place I'd check is the primary lift pump (fuel pump), then check around fuel filters, then on to possible leaks in the injector pump itself. Also check ALL the connections of fuel lines. They have been known to leak and allow air to be drawn in to the system.

I had a problem like that with a 165 diesel. It turned out to be a cracked diaphragm in the fuel transfer pump. I couldn't see the crack until I held the diaphram up to the sun.
