Drawbar Measurement

I am needing to make or find a draw-bar for my Yanmar 2500. I have the front and rear mounts installed but need the length a draw bar extends from the tractor. I have a NH side delivery rake and a JD 24T baler. I would feel better using a fixed draw bar over the 3pt type draw bar.

If you have 540 rpm PTO, the center of the hitchpin hole in the drawbar needs to be 14" from the END of the PTO shaft. For 1000 rpm PTO that dimension is 16". As a sidenote, on the BIG boys with the bigger diameter shaft, I believe it goes to 20".

Aside from the 14" measurement, you might also want to drill a hole, so you can "pin back", or move the drawbar forward, to keep it from hitting 3 point hitch attachments, when extended. Both my Kubota, and 2 of my allis's have this feature, it comes in handy.
