Pops out of gear on the high side, of the high low . Any answers please....

Does it do it in all of the gears? When shifting from a high side gear to reverse, the 2 speed shits as well on my grandpa's '44 A. I surmise the high side reverse is too fast....
If its happening in all the gears, does it happen only under heavy loads?

There is no reverse on the high side. You either need to shift in into low or, as you mentioned, it will do it by itself.

listen,,,all the high side gears dont work,six speed trans with a high and low, which means reverse, 1st, 3rd, and 5th, are low side,,,6th, 4th, and 2nd is the high side
