she looks like it is in nice shape drain old gas out clean gas tank carb might just need a good cleaning she should run great have fun with her!

Hi, you seem pretty good at the picture deal, they look good to me. That's a nice tractor, I guess I never really looked at one real close. Is that a 2cyl engine?

Have a great day!

Troy

I know the carb is dirty it puts out black smoke and the adjustments doesnt seem to matter, but when I turn fuil off at the bowl it runs good.

the carbs are pretty easy to pull apart make sure all the little air and fuel ports are clean use air chuck or tip cleaners you may need a carb kit if it is a up draft carb which i think it is the gasket on top of the carb if it is sucking air it will not run very good or not run at all just something to check for maybe check plug wires and timming if you can just friendly advice

Nice looking tractor. Reminds me of my uncles old John Deere. Used it to pull a small disk, iron wheel corn wagon and a red 10 foot drop type fertlizer spreader, ezflo I think. Plus being the #2 tractor for hauling tobacco to the barn. It is sitting abandoned (broken clutch) in a nearby barn with the tobacco trailer still attached. Hope to get it and finally figure out exactly what it is and fix it up. The engine, front end, seat and the 2 rear wheels are a Model 40 - but the rest is different... I plan to get numbers off the other parts and look them up.

Still has generator , decals are in right place , black seat, right manifold ,pto guard/ flipper guard, still has it's spark cable conduit tube and nice matched tires....got youself a keeper in my opinion. Appears may have had resto a few yrs back. Decals should have faded white by now if original.

Thanks, I plan on getting sheet metal done at body shop, and painting again clasic green and using vynal decals next time.It needs alot of tlc, but I checked things like the crank, oil, water, It has one wrong front rim which I have an extra. If I ever get it done will post again. Thanks Rick

I'm not trying to stir anything up, but I had a late model A years ago that had square axle housings and a different flywheel cover than your G. It was about like a 50 or 60 IIRC. I have never thought about comparing it to a late G until your post. Could your G be older than 53? Maybe I am remembering wrong? Wayne

That is one fine looking "G". If that's the original paint, it's even finer, but if it's an older repaint, it's still wonderful.

You're not planning on doing an "Expo Quality" restoration, are you? It's a showpiece just as it sits.

Congratulations!!

Stan

all is correct about this tractor 1953 year model and not as many made.except one front rim is wrong, I have a 3 point Im gonna put on
