Is it safe to leave brake cleaner, carb cleaner, wd40 and pb blaster in an unheated pole barn during the cold winter or will it affect the spraying of the products.
Thanks,
Bill

the colder the product the less pressure, so yes it affects spraying. warm up a can and it sprays better. i even add air to them when they
wont spray.

I went and grabbed a can of brake clean out of cold
storage the other day. Had no fizz in it. Apparently the
seal in the neck shrank in the cold and let the propellant
out. I tried pressurizing with air only to get cleaner all
over me.

The products won't work right cold but it won't hurt them. If you take the one you need in the house and let it warm up first it will work
fine.

Cheaper propellant containers I have will leak , wd forty with new nozzle , but in all Ive been successful doing the storage in our shed .

Dont like to store anything if I can in the attachment garage in case of fire .

Id say it ok

I don't like the new nozzles they have come up with for WD40. I've found you can completely remove the top off them and put the nozzle of an old can or one of their little cans on the new can.

I had the worst luck with in warm weather ,cold weather they go flat. I try to repressive them with limited success , solution is I bought a squirt bottle . Fill as needed from gallon can .
Back to the subject ! Sorry !

A lot of products I use like glues and finishes I seldom use I keep in the shop refrigerator in summer months. The 100+ degree days are really hard on stuff. The water based glues finishes I put inside a building that is heated in winter. They can tolerate being cold as long as they don't freeze.

I took an old igloo cooler and installed a 9w led bulb to keep
my cooler warm for cordless batteries, electrical tape, JB weld
, welding rods and anything I want to keep warm in my unheated
pole barn. You can use a larger light bulb if needed.
All made from old Free materials..
Could use an old refrigerator if you need more space.

Best to always go to the product web site and read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for contents and handling info. An unheated, unattended barn or shed is safe to
store flammable substances but keep it in a container, covered if possible, and away from electrical outlets, if any. Most volatile fluid will evaporate if left
uncovered. If soaking parts like carbs and such, keep in a coffee can with the lid on. Domestic Critters, Rodents, and Varmints can gain access and spill a container too
so bear in mind and keep stored well. If you store with a vehicle inside use caution when firing it up; a well ventilated area is needed. A spark can ignite easily. If
trying to remove rusty parts, try plain white vinegar in a covered container first. It works well but just takes a while to work so plan on soaking for weeks depending on
how badly rusted they are. Finally, keep a fire extinguisher handy in your shop at all times in case of emergencies.
