Spring Hitch Drawbar Question

Does any company make a receiver adapter to fit the standard DMI cushion/spring hitch drawbar? I have an older Quic Cush'N 2 hitch, the kind that is the full rear bumper on a truck, and would like to make it more useful by having a 2 receiver option.

I did a web search and found a thread on AgTalk where someone had fabricated something to fit the drawbar, but it really didn't allow for full spring action anymore, at least in the forward direction. I'm going to guess that the small slot for the drawbar is the limiting factor on any adapter.

I see that DMI makes a cushion hitch that is already a receiver setup, that might be the only option in the end. Thanks.

I pulled up the web page for that bumper and it doesn't look like there is an easy way to accommodate a 2" receiver. Trying to fit the square peg in the slotted hole, literally.

You'd need to modify the bumper itself, but then you will compromise the extend and swing functions of the drawbar.

I wonder if you could just install a standard frame-mounted receiver below the bumper so you have 2" or 2-1/2" capability. You'll lose the cushion of the hitch, but it should be more cost effective than buying a whole new bumper.

Thanks for the reply. I had a similar idea
and will take look to see what might work
below the spring hitch bumper
