C152 boring and stroking

Good Morning All,
I purchased a W4 and as part of the deal a spare engine came with it. I took apart this spare engine and didn't find anything obviously wrong with it. My plan has been to pull the sleeves and bore out the block about 0.062 to 3.625. (I mentioned this in the Farmall forum a couples months back) Then use the 350 pistons against the bare block, no sleeves. However, I have been reading about guys stroking the crank up to 5-3/4 (these guys are making big CUBES for pulling).

So I was wondering if anyone has bored out a C152 to 3.625 and stroked the crank, and if so, what kind of results did you get?

I'm not looking to push the block to its limits and make 300+ cubic inches because this W4 will have a life of brush hogging but while this engine is apart I'd like to do some work on the internals and make more hp.

To answer the question well what are you looking to do?
---I want to make 50-60 hp when I'm done

In my opinion, going with a 350 engine is the most practical move. That gives you the cubes, carb, head, manifolds, and cam that gets you to 50 horsepower, without all the piecemeal expenses you run into starting with a C-152 block. gm
