Super 55 block heater

Anyone know if they had a elbow in the lower radiator hose for one? If so anyone have one they want to part with?
I picked up a super 55 this summer that's hard starting. Injection pump is working. Has a new starter and battery. Guy I got it from used ether but I would rather not.

Are you using the intake heater? If engine is in good shape it
should start well cold with the manifold heater warmed up
after 30 seconds to a minute.

If I use it it does start but has to crank a bit. With the cold weather coming I doubt that it will be enough.

The BEST way to start older diesels cold is to leave the fuel
stop in OFF position, WARM up the manifold heater awhile,
then keep heater on while cranking engine to draw in warm
air, turning the fuel ON after 10-15 seconds cranking. This
does take a GOOD battery, but is the best way to start a cold
energy cell diesel.

I just went out and held it for a 60 count and it fired right up. Guess I wasn't holding it long enough. It is 70 and sunny today. I will have to try again in the morning. it's my first super 55 diesel. Thank you

I guess I didn't run it long enough yesterday to charge the battery back up. It didn't turn over fast enough after hitting the intake heater.
