RC 77 doesn t have enough hydraulic pressure to lift Hay

My 1953 77 doesn t have enough pressure to lift my JD1207 haybine I just bought. I haven t put a gage on it to check the pressure yet. I would assume that this normally shouldn t be an issue for this tractor. I hooked the haybine up to my 1025R and it was able to lift it. Can someone give me some ideas of things to check for? Filter and Fluid levels are good, and im getting fluid back to the cylinder. Thank you for the help

The relief valve setting on a model 770 hydraulic system was only 1000 PSI per a 770 owners manual, a 77 might be lower. 1960s Deeres mostly used 2000 PSI hydraulics. As was mentioned, see if a larger diameter cylinder will fit (use around 50 percent larger bore to get the same force at half the pressure).

I don't think its going to work. You can turn the pressure up to 1250 or so, but I think that haybine probably takes closer to 2000. I think those have a set of
built in cylinders, not something you can just swap out with a bigger diameter. Common problem in older tractors of all colors. A 1650 would work, but even
those struggle on a lot of newer stuff.
