Oliver Super 55 PTO

Since I have no way to cover it, I'd like to disengage the PTO on my Super 55. It runs constantly and, for safety's sake, I'd very much like to disengage it. When I push the lever forward to it's locked position, it has no effect. What am I doing wrong?

That should have a guard over the 6
splined shaft. Korves Oliver has them. Or
AGCO. If you don't use it take the stub
shaft out.

It's rare to see one that doesn't turn. The plates are most likely warped. It'll probably stop under load. I
rebuilt mine and for a short time it would stop, but it went right back to its wandering ways.

Just a 5/16 bolt and pull. There will be a hole there. I suppose you could make a cover for it.
