Hydraulic relief valve

what's the best way to test to see if my hydraulic relief valve is set correctly? I change the pinion and added the bigger hydraulic pump for 1650-1850 and I have not changed my relief valve settings

1550, right? Mine was hesitating to lift the 1207. I checked the pressure, only 1500 so I added a washer to the relief valve and got 1700. A couple more and it was 2000. Test either at the 3/8 pipe plug (left plug in the first pic) or rig a gauge to a remote coupling. Activate one of the remotes to test. Use a GOOD gauge and stand aside when you activate it.

Where can I get washers to shim the relief valve?

I found a few in my collection of ordinary washers. 3-4 OD and 3/8 ID fits. Thicknesses can vary. I&T manual says .010 shim will increase the
pressure 75 psi.
