a good evening to you all,
After about 8 months or so I finally got my Minneapolis Moline Jet Star running, painted up, and ready to move out of my garage and put it to work, or so I Thought.
took it out on a shake down cruise to the local gas Station. first time it has been run for more than a couple minutes. on the way home while stopping at a stop sign and ideling the engine down I noticed the oil pressure gauge down around 0 ZERO, gave it a little gas and the oil pressure gauge responded incresing the oil preasure directly in time with the with the increasing RPM of the engine. This is the first time the tractor has been up to normal operating temp. the oil pressure usually goes up to around 20 to 25 lbs.and stays there
kept an eye on the gauge the rest of the way home, and as long as the throtle was above an idle the pressure gauge stayed between 20 and 25 PSI. Is this normal?? had an 8N prior to this and it seems to me this was addressed in the 8N section and the answer was, at idle it doesnt need the same amount of oil preasure and not to worry to much about it. However this was some time ago and I dont know if that statement is accurate or not.
any body else had this happen, and what course of action needs to be taken if any???
