MF 65 Fuel Filter Housing

the 'can' that forms the housing on the first fuel filter is damaged and leaking. I cant find a replacement part as it seems most have the kind with the glass bowl at the bottom. That style has a bolt on top but mine has the bolt come up through from the bottom to hold the housing. Does anyone know how to find the replacement part or should I replace the mount as well?

Here is your picture.

That appears to be filter assembly 890971M91. The can/body is part number 1850931M91. If a dealer can't help you, try a salvage yard like one of the All States Ag Parts yards. Or you can change it to a newer fuel filter assembly, even a spin on type. DieselTech may have a recommendation for an assembly if you want to change the assembly.

What you called the mount is the head of the filter assembly. Yes, you will need change that as part of changing to a different type of fuel filter.

Hi Jim thanks very much for that. I would really like to convert to a spin on as changing the existing filter is a big hassle.

it looks like a spin on conversion is not available. could I replace that primary filter with this one?

the base looks very similar. I dont understand the purpose of two filters. Does one separate water and the other filter sediment?
