I have a fuel problem with mY 1966 MF - 135, with the z-145 continental engine. The gas keeps getting in the oil, not much but I want to fix it. It must be getting too much fuel while in use because I shut the fuel off when done using it, the fuel and idle are set pretty close to what the service manual says so maybe I'll rebuild the carb. Anyone have a suggestion? I think the float needle isn't stopping the gas flow when it rises maybe. Thanks for your help. The carb is a Marvel Schebler, it was rebuilt 1 time about 10 years ago.

Is it one with a fuel pump?? If yes could be a bad fuel pump. Also are you 100% sure the gas shut off is working and shut off the gas?? Easy way to check that is to pull the carb drain plug and make sure you only get a little bit of gas then it stops

I run tractor till it dies after I shut the valve, no fuel pump on this one old. I ordered the kit with the needle and seat, don't want to buy a new carb or one of those cheap ones. lol

Just to let you know if you have an O'Reilly's in your area they carry a Walker brand kit for those carbs I buy carb kits from them all the time
