Its a 1978,,the neighbor gave it to us,,she bought it new,,original Kohler 8hp motor runs great!
The clutch works fine,,but brakes are not stopping it very good

That is a fine looking old wheel horse.
For what you have invited in it, go for a set of brakes, or check
the adjustment on yours. Brakes should work. only reason they
won't is they are worn out or out of adjustment.
