I had a 82 VW Rabbit deisel bought new and the manual said add 10% gas at that time. I put in a bigger battery and when it was going to drop to 10 at night I'd go down and put some gas in. I'd put in 1 gal to every 10 deisel. and it only had a 10 gal tank. It stood on the end of my drive up in WI and the neighbor mechanic said he always watched me start it in awe. I used the car for work everyday and it never got plugged in. I used Mobil 1 too the secound year or so as I think it was just coming out. A fellow with one like it used the anti-gel and his failed a couple times and he went to gas-----but that was in 82 and I'm sure the anti gels improved and this was a lot smaller engine, but it did have glowplugs. Oh I put 100,000 on that car, I know deisels will go much more than that.Bill
