First off let me start by saying I am new to the forum and working on my first restoration project!
I am restoring my Dad's 1951 Ferguson TO30 and have found through some diligent research the the Delco 10Si alternator is the preferred. Needless to say before doing the research I went out and purchased a Motrocraft 16 from the local AutoZone. I know with the Delco you have a BAT terminal and a P1 & P2 but, with the Motorcraft the Terminals are labeled; BAT, FLD, STA, GRD, and one has no label.
Does anyone have any experience with this type alternator or can point me in the right direction?
I have spoken with John...UK and he provided me with a wiring diagram but it is for the Delco alternator.
I have replaced the 12-Volt coil, Gear Shift Starter Switch, Battery, Battery Cables, New wiring (maybe that's my culprit), Starter, etc. and still can not get this -BLANK- to start!
Also do I need a regulator as the alternator has one internally?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
