Hello; I have a wheel Hub on my 1953 TO-30 that has a bearing cap about 3 inches in dia. with a raised X looking like a knock off. I just bought a front axle assembly for a spare off a 1950? TO-30 and noticed the bearing cap is about 1 3/4 in. in dia.! Is mine a up/grade or maybe my axle assembly is off a TO-35? Or better yet is the one I bought maybe a TO-20 style put on a TO-30? I don't know if the axle is interchangeable on these modles. I hope I said this right? Can you help? Mark H.

Your tractor is not orriganal. The rims and hubs and probably much more have been alterd. The "spare axle" is correct.

I looked at the Cap again and it has a Y instead of a X. It also unsrews off the hub and you can see the bearing. It is made of a cast alum. material. Mark H.

The 1953 TO30 with the Y screw type is the original. To verify that the tractor you got your spare from is a TO30, look just above the dist. You will see a Z134 cast into the block.

Ray means Z129 (for TO30). He's probably working on a TO35 today ... lol.
