Phil: From my research/understanding, what you describe could indeed be Ferguson. The front lights have wings and two screws that held the lens/sealed beam in. There was a red tail light (left side) and a removable work light (right side) that had a switch. What is really difficult is that many times lights were not standard and may have been added later. None of this stuff is available today, except used. I am not knowledgeable enough to comment on the N Series Fords, except that what I have seen is similar (in appearance) to what the parts catalogue shows for the Ferguson TO-XX & TE-XX tractors. The catalogue shows a tool box like the one you describe, but I cannot remember which model (TE-20/TEA, I think, maybe a TO-30). A few months ago, I tried to find original/close to original rear lights for my TO-20 and I could have purchased a used rear work light for about $90.00--seemed steep to me, given my plan is not to show the tractor but to keep it as original as possible, but mostly functional for use. During my search, I looked at a lot of Fords that for the most part did not have wings on the front lights, they were marked with "Tracto Lite" (was marketed/packaged by Ferderal Mogul until Ford got out of the tractor business) and the lens was held in with a ring that had one (possibly two?) screws that clamped it tight around the headlight body.
